Even though GHS has grown into a large, nationally recognized hospital for our clinical abilities, we still place a great emphasis on doing what small hospitals do so well: provide personal, patient-oriented care to each and every patient. Through Where Giving Counts, you can help us do just that by purchasing items selected by our care staff who observe these patient needs every day. Examples include:

• Gas cards or cab fare to help patients who are unable to afford transportation costs to and from the hospital.
• Pharmacy gift cards to help patients who are unable to buy their medication.
• Clinical and rehabilitation equipment to make treatment more comfortable and effective.
• Everyday items, like DVDs, games, and toiletries, to make a patient's stay in the hospital more pleasant. These items can also benefit family members of a patient.
  

Items range from $2 and up, so everyone is able to make a difference. What's best is that you actually get to select needed items and purchase them through the convenience of your computer. You don't have to write a check and wonder what it was used for because you choose exactly which item will go to a patient!
